Basic Latent Print Analysis
40-Hour Foundational Course
This 40-hour course is designed for students who are new to forensic science as well as those with a basic understanding of friction ridge examination. Participants will build a strong foundation in the discipline of latent print analysis, including the identification of friction ridge detail, proper documentation, and the application of the ACE-V methodology to real casework scenarios.
Through hands-on exercises, guided instruction, and case-based examples, students will learn how to evaluate, compare, and reach conclusions on latent print evidence in accordance with accepted forensic standards.

The Regional Training Center operates out of a secured facility. Please bring a photo ID with you to your first day of class, as you will be required to undergo a simple background check to comply with I.T.A.R. regulations.
